The Handy Veteran is based out of Fox Lake, IL, serving the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Our mission is to provide professional and dependable handyman and remodeling services for projects small or large, treating each home as if it were our own. We are fully insured and provide free estimates and flexible scheduling. To show our appreciation to those who serve our community and country, we offer discounts for veterans, those in active service, as well as police, fire, EMS and teachers.
Kevin Anderson
is the founder and owner of The Handy Veteran. Kevin served in the US Navy for 6 years and went on 3 different tours. Soon after his return, Kevin found a passion for home improvement projects. It kept him busy, productive, and put to use many of his skills that he'd learned while serving as a naval ship mechanic. After successfully remodeling his own house, Kevin decided to turn his passion into a career, and thus started The Handy Veteran.
